Urban Construction had an opportunity to acquire a mid terraced property in need of a full renovation. The property was stripped back to bear brick so new insulation, full rewiring and new plastering could take place. The staircase was moved to create a larger living area. New heating system and boiler was installed along with new hardwood, double glazed window in keeping with the period of the property.

Gordon Lane – Backford, Chester
Brief: Alun & Melanie Simpson bought the 4 bed detached property with the goal to re model, extend and renovate the property into there dream home for there family.
The property was extended at the rear to give a great kitchen, dining & living area which is perfect for entertaining. The 1st floor was also extended to make the bedrooms bigger and also give enough room for 3 ensuite bathrooms.
There was also a single storey extension at the front of the property to create a grand entrance hallway. The rest of the property was fully renovated.

Timescale: 12 weeks
This project was a sensitive one for all concerned when Urban Construction was approached by Dawn. The mid-terraced property had been owned by the client’s mother who had recently passed away and so held a lot of memories.The property was in need of a full renovation to allow for future rental and Urban Construction advised on what should be updated. The property was fitted with a new heating system and full new electrics throughout. The staircase had previously been too narrow and too steep so this needed making new and moving position. A new kitchen and bathroom was installed with more modern fittings and this created a really nice relaxed and contemporary feel.
