Brief: To completely renovate an old coaching house, dating back to in parts, 1700. This three bedroom house required conversion to four bedrooms and changing the existing garage area to a kitchen, dining area, downstairs toilet room and separate utility room The existing kitchen became the dining room and new one was then installed into the garage area, converting the space into an open plan kitchen.

All the electrics and plumbing were completed replaced and a full ,new heating system with underfloor heating in the kitchen area was installed. The current bathroom suite was removed and replaced with an up to date, contemporary suite. All the ground floor had new insulation throughout with new floor slab.

The entire house was made to feel more modern, bright and airy with the existing space maximised and used to its full potential whilst maintaining some existing features.The major benefit to the client was to gain a guest bedroom without compromising on space.

Time scale: 16 Weeks

The term ‘renovate’ covers a wide range of home improvements from a brand new bathroom to a brand new home in total. In this instance, we overhauled an entire Chester house, transforming it from a three bedroom property into a four bedroom home.

Our designs were successful in maximising the spacing available and creating a feeling of airy spaciousness. With our help, the client was able to gain more space without moving house. Perhaps most significant was the addition of a completely new bedroom without compromising on the space.

A replacement kitchen was installed in the converted garage area to create a larger kitchen and separate dining area downstairs along with a utility room and toilet.The existing bathroom was also removed and replaced with a more contemporary up to date bathroom suite.
